It took until the final day of April and the final day of the regular season before I could get out to cover a Bismarck State College home game. For those of you that don’t know I work for Bismarck State so getting out to cover games is usually pretty easy, except this year the teams first actual home game played in Bismarck wasn’t until this week. 100+ inches of snow this winter made playing games in the area pretty much impossible.
In the double header each team took their turn offensively dominating the games. In game 1 Bismarck State’s offense was aided by mental mistake by the Williston defense. The Mystics were able to capitalize time and time again as they continued to put the pressure on with their aggressive base running.
In game 2 Williston and Bismarck would battle in a close 2-1 game until the bottom of the 6th inning when Williston would explode for 9 runs and end the game via the 10 run rule.
