Who are some key returning position players and what do you hope to see from them this year?

Key returners: Billy Hancock, Kiko Nunez, Caid Koletzky, Zane Salley, Ethan Wishon, Tyler Linch, Noah Moon, Evan Bock. We have a core group of returners who have bolstered themselves as very productive parts of our lineup and defensively. Billy Hancock is a major talent, in his time so far being a 2x 1st team all-conference, Conference player of the year, and All-American. Billy will be a big contributor and leader of this team. Nunez, Koletzky, Salley, Wishon, Linch will all provide great leadership and they are winners. Noah Moon has been a menace on the basepaths and we are excited for him to impact our offense again. Bock and many other returners will have a great opportunity to make a big impact and depth to this team.

Who are your key returning pitchers and why?

Myles Brown, Chris Rofe, Clayton Chipchase, Jet Hasegawa, Heston Williams, Zane Pollon, Jared Miller. Last year this core group of guys helped lead our conference in many categories and also had a nation low 124 walks. These guys are ultra-competitive and are hungry to build off of last year’s success.

Do you have an incoming impact freshman or transfers that will help the team in 2023?

Braeden Cordes (transfer from Spokane Falls CC), Aspen Dahl (FR from Madison, SD), Noah McCandless (transfer from Garden City CC), Bodi Wallar (transfer from Hutchinson CC), Caden Eymann (transfer from Western Nebraska CC), Will Gardner (transfer from Garden City CC),

What was the focus and what things did you see from the team in the fall?

The focus this fall was to compete and to grow our togetherness. We saw great energy and desire from this team on and off the field and I am excited to get this team on the field this spring. We have a great mix of power and speed offensively and have the ability to be very consistent on the mound and defensively.

What are the expectations and goals for the team entering the season?

Expectations are to get better every day and put ourselves in position to be competing for a championship. This is a very talented group who will be very competitive and have a chance to be a premier team in this conference and region.
