Who are some key returning position players and what do you hope to see from them this year?
Jay Adams, Joey Grabanski, Jaidan Quinn, Jesse Garcia, Alec Blakestad, Ben Berg, Ty Nekoliczak Our returning position players had quality seasons a year ago. We hope to continue our offensive production and make progress defensively.
Who are your key returning pitchers and why?
Alex Johnson, Caden Johnson, Christian Gutierrez, Caden Bugarske, Jacob Lycan. Each of these pitchers either started or threw key innings out of the bullpen as underclassmen a year ago. We are excited to see what they can accomplish this season.
Do you have an incoming impact freshman or transfers that will help the team in 2023?
Blake Benson, Frankie Cresta, and Kellen Ingram are quality arms that we expect to help our pitching staff.
What was the focus and what things did you see from the team in the fall?
Our goal was to learn about our newcomers and establish quality foundations to build on for this spring season.
What are the expectations and goals for the team entering the season?
Our team has high aspirations, and our players are focused on continuing to make progress each week as we pursue the best we can be. They are a strong and connected group. Our expectations are to continue to improve and give our best effort while having a team that supports one another.
