Who are a few returning position players that will have an impact in the spring?
Alex Logelin OF SR. Logelin is a top of the order bat, that will put himself in scoring position via hitting doubles or using his ability to steal bags.
Andrew Hanson OF SR. Hanson has the ability to hit for power at the top of the order, and is also a threat on the bases with his base stealing abilities.
Who are a few key returning pitchers that will have an impact?
Brody Sintek SO. Sintek had a bright covid freshman year, showing his ability to be very consistent. He will be a weekend guy for the Wildcats.
Ryan Obrecht JR. Obrecht knows how to get outs. Although he may not wow anyone on the mound, he will compete with the best of them, giving his team a chance to win.
Who are some incoming freshman or transfers that can potentially have an impact in the spring?
Colin Lynam, So. Lynam is a transfer from Northeast CC. Was an all American in NJCAA DII, and can be a top or middle of the order bat.
What things did you see from the team in the fall?
Had a really good fall despite coming off a down year. A few freshmen and transfers will make an impact for us right away.
What was the focus during the fall for the team?
Getting back to learning how to compete. Really focused on individual development.
What are the expectations and goals for the team entering the season?
Our goal is to compete to be at the top of our conference, We have a core group of senior position players that will lead us at the plate and a mix of young and old pitchers that should anchor us.
